| The worst night for us was Friday
night, December 6th. We had no heat, and the temperature fell into the
20s. The house became icy cold. Mary Lynn and I had to sleep in
our clothes under several layers of blankets. This picture shows Mary
Lynn soon after she got up on Saturday morning. |

|
| Our biggest problem resulted from
having a large Magnolia tree in the back yard. An evergreen with large
leaves, Magnolias are not designed to carry ice. Large and small limbs
littered the driveway. |

|
| One large limb fell on the deck.
As you can see, it produced monumental mess. |

|
| We sustained some damage to our gutter
when this limb fell. Part of the limb also barely missed the window.
Notice the old man with the young girl that sits on a table outside the
house. They were undamaged. |
