10. Architectural Style
The
one-story, side-gabled house is located on a wide lot near the railroad
tracks and south of Main Street. The facade's roof features a front
gable near the east elevation, and a chimney located on the roof's ridge
line. The remainder of the facade features a partial-width, shed
porch, which is supported by square, wood column posts, and shelters
six-over-six windows and a replacement door. The west elevation
features original, rectangular wooden vents, three six-over-six windows, and
a replacement door, which is sheltered by a small, pedimented roof. The east
elevation features a six-over-six window, and an original, rectangular
wooden vent. The rear elevation features a six-over-six window, and a
partial-width, shed porch near the east elevation. A one-room gabled
wing extends from the center of the rear elevation. It features two,
six-over-six windows, and an original, rectangular wooden vent. A
one-room, shed, brick addition, which extends east from the rear gabled
wing. It includes a four-over-four window. The house is covered
with vinyl, and rests on brick piers, which have been infilled.
