10.  Architectural Style

    This Colonial Revival Style house sits on a large lot close to railroad tracks and north of Main Street.  It is a two-story, side-gabled house.  The facade is symmetrical, and features six-over-six windows, and a decorative pedimented porch, which is supported by metal replacement posts, and shelters a replacement door with sidelights.  The east and west elevations feature original, rectangular wooden vents and six-over-six windows.

     A two-story gabled addition extends from the rear elevation. A one-room, shed-roof addition protrudes from the rear addition's west elevation.  A one-room, gabled addition extends from the two-story rear elevation addition.  The house is covered with vinyl and rests on brick piers, which have been infilled.

     This home was built during Pineville's early development by Bob Spencer.  It was later occupied by Jimmy Deal who was an employee of the Charlotte and South Carolina Railroad.
