The one-story
side, brick, gabled home is three-bays wide and one-bay deep and sits
close to Main Street facing south. The facade is symmetrical featuring
two six-over-six windows and a gabled porch which shelters a six-panel door.
Additional features include six-over-six windows on the east and west
elevations and triangular, wooden vents. A small, concrete porch
extends from the west elevation and includes a replacement door.
The house sits on a concrete blocks, which have been infilled with block.

Summarizing Known History Of The Property.
The side-gabled
home was built when Cone Mills bought the Dover Yarn Mill. Older homes
on Main Street were demolished as the new homes were built in this expanding
town. This home is representative of "shotgun" style architecture.
