Other 10. Architectural Style The two-story, hipped-roof house sits on a large, flat lot, close to Johnston Drive facing west. It is three-bays wide and two-bays deep with several additions. The facade is symmetrical with a three-sided bay protected by a gable in the center on the second-story. The hipped-roof porch is partially enclosed as it extends around to the north elevation. It is supported by original turned spindle columns and shelters five six-over-six replacement windows and a paneled door. A one-room, gabled-wing with six-over-six replacement windows protrudes from the south elevation. A large gabled addition, which is three-bays wide, extends from the rear elevation and features six-over-six windows. An additional, one-room, gabled-wing with large multi-paned windows protrudes from the rear elevation towards the courtyard. Additional features include two, internal, square stuccoed chimneys. The house is covered with vinyl and sits on brick piers, which have been infilled with block.

13. Paragraph Briefly Summarizing Known History Of The Property. The two-story home on Johnston Drive served as the home of a wealthy family. Larger, more elaborate homes were built on the prestigious streets in Pineville which included College, Polk, Main, and Gay (Johnston Drive).
