Other 10. Architectural Style The one-and-a-half story, hipped-roof house sits on a narrow lot, close to College Street. It is three-bays wide and two-bays deep with a hipped dormer located on the center of the roof below the ridge line. The facade is asymmetrical with a lower-cross gable aligned with the west elevation. The enclosed full-width, hipped-roof porch extends around the east elevation. The porch roof shelters three replacement windows and a replacement door which is protected by a gable. Original features include four-over-four windows, a picture window, and a wooden vent. An internal chimney is located at the rear of the hipped-roof. The house is covered in wood and sits on brick piers, which have been infilled with brick.

13. Paragraph Briefly Summarizing Known History Of The Property. The one-and-a-half story home on College Street served as the home of a middle-class family. Larger, more elaborate homes were built on the prestigious streets in Pineville which included College, Polk, Main, and Gay (Johnston Drive).
