10. Architectural Style
The one-and-a-half story, side-gabled, frame
house sits on a narrow lot, close to College Street facing north. It
is three-bays wide and two-bays deep with a pronounced roof overhang
supported by brackets with exposed rafter ends. The facade is
asymmetrical with a prominent, front-gabled, partial-width porch that aligns
with the east elevation. The porch roof is supported by tapered half posts
which rest on tall brick piers. The porch shelters an original six-over-one
window and replacement door that are slightly recessed. The facade's
remaining fenestration is limited to a single six-over-one window. The
east elevation of the house features a pair of replacement windows and a
shallow, extended, one-story gabled bay containing a six-over-one window.
On the second story a pair of six-over-one windows is located in the gable.
An internal chimney and flu are located behind the ridge line of the roof.
The house is covered with vinyl and sits on brick piers, which have been
infilled with block.
